Telehealth
Loving Care Home Health began utilizing industry leading telehealth technology in central Oklahoma in 2002. Honeywell's HomMed patient monitoring system has allowed us to increase patient oversight and improve patient outcomes.
Every day at a time chosen by the patient, a monitor talks the patient through a vital data collection process. The data is automatically transmitted over a digital wireless private network or telephone line to a Central Station located in the nearest office of Loving Care.
Nursing professionals review the information and respond appropriately. Telehealth provides monitoring 7 days a week and takes less than 5 minutes per day.
Patients in a hospital or skilled nursing facility must request Loving Care Home Health to avoid being discharged to another home health care provider who may not offer telehealth or the comprehensive services and superior qualtiy provided by Loving Care Home Health.
Why Use Telehealth?
Patients are discharged from the hospital earlier than in years past, but their recovery care needs have not changed.
Patients often need help implementing their treatment or recovery plan into daily living.
Hospital nursing staff often are unable to thoroughly and completely cover all discharge instructions with their patients due to limited time and resources.
Telehealth combines advanced communication technology and health monitoring equipment to gather and transmit a patient’s vital signs to a health care professional.
The information is reviewed daily and early warning signs of problems are addressed immediately by a nurse. The combination of daily monitoring and early intervention greatly improves the quality of care.
